It’s a Hunting Knife
A very short and honest answer to the question: "What is that in your hand?" The simplicity of this answer reveals the very essence of a hunting knife, its purpose, and the absolute expectation from the wielder that the knife will fulfil its intended function flawlessly. This expectation is absolutely correct, because when it comes to a hunting knife there should be no doubt that it will cut.
However, this simple-seeming statement can be misinterpreted as exceptionally understated.
How about a little expansion? It's a high-quality hunting knife with a blade made from Bohler N690, which is hardened steel with excellent edge holding capabilities. Bohler N690 is the favoured steel for cutting tools, rotary knives, butcher knives and surgical instruments. The steel is corrosion-resistant, and the high carbon stainless steel is heat treated and tempered using a liquid nitrogen process. This leads to a staggering hardness and ability to resist deforming when subjected to stress and applied force, resulting in a razor-sharp edge, with excellent edge retention characteristics.
The custom-made blade is hollow-ground and hand-polished to a finish that makes the blade one of the finest hunting knives on the planet. The blade is completed with a knife handle made from exotic materials. Being true to the South African heritage and drawing inspiration from Africa's magnificent wildlife, the materials for the handles are locally sourced. This allows the handles to be made from the finest materials on the planet, such as Mammoth molar, Giraffe bone, Kudu bone, African Blackwood and Warthog tusk.
Sheathed in high-quality leather, the knives are protected and kept at the ready, for use in the field, on a mountain, campsite, beach or wherever you plan to go.
TOUGH ENOUGH TO USE. NICE ENOUGH TO COLLECT.
